Quick detour to KCLS 1 & 2: Shoreline

Image
Not enough time to continue SPL circuit but also, hey, I just had to pick up my holds so why not a little bike ride to Shoreline?!: Reconnected with dancin' Katie, and ain't they wise as owls here?!: Pretty diverse range of art in kids section too:

Day one complete!

Image
& who wants to join me on future rides..? (where you can at least get these cool stamps!):

Bound for Ballard!

Image
More new territory, even a 'secret path' down to the Locks!: where I even found Duncan thru the silver waves: Here he left me for a barber --can you believe it?! -- but I managed to bike to the Ballard branch all by myself... & inside Ballard was bloomin'...!:

aptly named Magnolia

Image
Now, instead of retracing our steps, continued down to Elliot Way and even taking a couple of elevators to a novel bridge: and along the beautiful newly revamped Elliot Bay trail, & practically getting lost trying to find a way to entrance up daunting Magnolia bridge and -- embarrassing for this lifelong Seattleite to admit -- setting off into nearly uncharted territory (!): but surmounting final big hill, discover the Magnolia branch!: The great blossoming bush outside better be a Magnolia tree, too, right?!:

Tip top of steeply inclined Queen Anne hill

Image
The easy downward part over, we now crossed Fremont bridge and then began the climb to the top of Queen Anne hill (which looked so much less steep and long on my maps!) And then there had to be some rain, too?!: Very handsome stained glass inside at least!:

Free Mont!

Image
Over empty sidewalks and down steep Stone, then westward (hi, troll!) to wee little Fremont: If our eyes are the windows to the soul, are windows the soul of our buildings?!: Also musn't this branch have at least a small figure acknowledging the (in)famous troll nearby?!:

Funky Wallingford

Image
Back over the freeway and proceeding back west leads to the cozy, tiny Wallingford which I don't think I had been inside before (but always love the neon art promoting it!: Duncan rarely joined me inside but so I could still sometimes capture him waiting on the outside!:
